Ingredients
2tbspbutter
1cupblack rice
¼cuponion,diced
¼cupalmonds,slivered
1¾cupswater
1chicken bouillon cube
Preparation
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat then add the black rice, onion, and almonds. Cook and stir for about 5 to 10 minutes until lightly toasted.
Add the water and bouillon cube, then bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, then cover.
Simmer for about 25 to 30 minutes until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
