Ingredients

1 pie crust, prepared in a 9-inch pie plate, do not blind bake

1⅔ lb baking apples, cored and diced

⅔ cup vanilla yogurt, or vanilla-flavored yogurt, thick

½ cup granulated sugar

3 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 tsp ground cinnamon

¼ tsp salt

1 egg

¾ cup all-purpose flour

½ cup brown sugar

6 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into cubes and chilled

½ tsp ground cinnamon

¼ tsp salt

2 tbsp caramel sauce, per serving

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine all the ingredients for the streusel topping. Set aside.

Prepare the filling. Beat yogurt and egg together in a bowl.

Add the rest of the ingredients into a mixing bowl. Stir to combine.

Add yogurt mixture and fold until evenly incorporated.

Spread filling into the prepared pie crust, then sprinkle the top with the prepared streusel.

Bake for roughly 50 minutes or until filling is bubbly and golden brown.

Set aside at room temperature until pie has cooled down completely.

Portion accordingly. Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve.
