Ingredients
1 cup sugar
⅔ cup all-purpose flour
1 egg, large, lightly beaten
1⅓ cups sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups blackberries, fresh or frozen, thawed if frozen
1 pastry shell, 9-inch, unbaked
⅓ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
¼ cup pecans, chopped toasted
3 tbsp butter, softened
Whipped cream, as desired
Whole berries, fresh, as desired
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Mix together sugar, ⅓ cup flour, eggs, sour cream and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
Gently fold in blackberries. Spoon mixture into pastry shell. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until center is set.
Combine remaining flour, brown sugar, pecans and softened butter. Mix together well and add over the hot pie. Return pie to the oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack. Garnish with whipped cream and whole berries if desired and serve.
