Ingredients
¾cupwhite sugar
¼cupbutter
1egg
2tsplemon zest
1½cupsflour
2tspbaking powder
½tspsalt
½cupmilk
1tbspflour
1½cupsfresh blueberries
¼cupbutter,plus 1 tbsp
¼cupbrown sugar
¼cupwhite sugar
⅓cupall-purpose flour
½tspground cinnamon
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8×8-inch pan.
In a large bowl, cream the sugar, butter, egg, and lemon zest until fluffy.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add them to the sugar mixture, alternating with the milk mixture just until combined.
Toss the blueberries with 1 tablespoon of flour, then fold the blueberries into the batter. Spread the mixture in a prepared pan.
Combine butter, brown sugar, white sugar, flour, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl until crumbly.
Sprinkle the topping over the batter.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
