Ingredients
1½lbsbroccoli,fresh, cut into bite sized pieces
3cupschicken,cooked, cubed
1½cupscheddar cheese,shredded, divided
½cupmilk
⅔cupsour cream
10.5ozcondensed cream of mushroom,1 can, or chicken soup
½tspgarlic powder
½tsponion powder
½tspdry mustard
½tsppepper
¼tspseasoning salt
3tbsppanko bread crumbs
1tbspbutter,melted
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Place the broccoli in a large pot boiling water, then cook for 2 to 3 minutes or just until tender crisp. Drain well.
In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of cheddar cheese, milk, condensed soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, dry mustard, pepper, and seasoning salt.
Stir in the broccoli and chicken, then spread it into a 3-quart casserole dish or a 9 x 13-inch pan. Top with the remaining cheese.
In a small bowl, mix the butter and bread crumbs.
Sprinkle the bread crumb topping over the chicken mixture.
Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are lightly browned, and the mixture is bubbly and hot.
Serve over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes, and enjoy!
