Ingredients

1 lb beef, ground

2 onions, large, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

½ cup celery, diced

1 green pepper, chopped

2 tbsp oil

28 oz tomatoes , or 2 lb frozen

10 oz tomato paste

2 cups raw potatoes, diced

2 cups carrots, diced

4 cups beef stock

Salt and pepper, to taste

7 leaves cabbage, coarsely chopped

Preparation

Saute beef, onions, garlic, celery and green pepper in oil.

Add remaining ingredients except for the cabbage. Simmer uncovered for 1 hour.

Add cabbage and simmer for 1 more hour, adding more water up to 3 cups if necessary. Serve warm.
