Ingredients

1fl ozrum,coconut flavored

¼tspsalt

¼tspblack pepper,ground

⅛tspcinnamon,ground

½tspgarlic powder

½tsporegano,dried

¼tspsage,dried

½tspwhite vinegar

1tbsplemon juice,fresh

4onion,slices

8ozbeef top sirloin steaks,(6 pieces)

1tbspolive oil

Preparation

Whisk together the rum, salt, pepper, cinnamon, powder, oregano, sage, vinegar, and lemon juice in a bowl; pour into a gallon-sized, resealable plastic bag.

Add the onion and steaks to the marinade. Seal the bag, squeezing out as much air as possible. Allow to marinate in refrigerator 2½ hours.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the steaks with the skillet covered to the desired doneness for about 3 minutes per side for medium-rare.
