Ingredients
15slider rolls,or 6 to 8 regular hamburger rolls
1lblean ground beef
½onion,finely diced
3garlic cloves,minced
1cupkidney beans,drained and rinsed
cheddar cheese
2½tbspchili powder
1tspWorcestershire sauce
1green pepper,chopped
14ozdiced tomatoes,canned, lightly drained
12oztomato sauce
1½tbspbrown sugar
2tbspcider vinegar
½cupbutter
1tbspbrown sugar
1tspWorcestershire sauce
1½tbsponion flakes
½tsppoppy seeds
1tspchili powder
hot sauce,3 dashes
Preparation
Brown the ground beef, onions and garlic until no pink remains. Drain any fat.
Stir in the chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, green pepper, tomatoes, tomato sauce, brown sugar, and cider vinegar in pot, and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Let simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until thickened.
Stir in the beans. Set aside.
Preheat the grill to medium-high on one side
Place the slider buns in a pan or cast iron skillet.
Top with the meat mixture and cheddar cheese.
Combine the butter, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, onion flakes, poppy seeds, chili powder, and hot sauce in a bowl.
Gently spoon the topping over the rolls.
Cook over indirect heat for 18 to 23 minutes or until the cheese melts and the filling is heated through.
Serve warm, and enjoy!
