Ingredients
15large mushrooms,fresh, stems removed
½lbground pork
¼Chinese salted turnip,chung choi, slice, rinsed and chopped
1tbspsoy sauce
3tbspwater chestnuts,canned, finely chopped
¼tspsalt
¼tspwhite sugar
Preparation
Remove the stems from the mushrooms, then discard them or save for another use.
Wipe the mushroom caps clean with a dry towel.
In a bowl, combine the pork, turnip, soy sauce, water chestnuts, salt, and sugar until thoroughly mixed.
Spoon the stuffing tightly into the mushroom caps.
Arrange the mushrooms in a steamer basket, stuffing side up, over boiling water.
Cover, and cook for 30 minutes.
Serve hot, and enjoy!
