Ingredients
2cupswater
2cupspotatoes,peeled, diced
½cupcarrots,diced
½cupcelery,chopped
¼cuponions,chopped
1½tspsalt
¼tspground black pepper
1cupham,cubed, cooked
¼cupbutter
¼cupall-purpose flour
2cupsmilk
2cupscheddar cheese,shredded
Preparation
In a large saucepan, mix the water, potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, salt, and pepper.
Bring to boil, then reduce the heat. Simmer 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
Mix the ham into the vegetable mixture.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in the flour until smooth, then slowly pour in the milk.
Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in the Cheddar cheese until melted.
Mix the melted cheese mixture with the vegetable mixture.
Serve warm, and enjoy!
