Ingredients
1 lb mild Italian sausage
1 lb ground beef
1 lb Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp chili powder
6 pcs cocktail rye bread, sliced into quarters
¼ cup red onion, chopped
1 oz lettuce, torn
⅓ cup mayonnaise
parsley, chopped
Preparation
Cook Italian sausage and ground beef in a skillet and drain oil. Add oregano, onion, and chili powder and mix well. Add cubed cheese and stir until all is melted. Set aside.
Squeeze about 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of the bread and top one piece of torn lettuce.
Spread about 2 tablespoons of mixture on each slice of cocktail rye bread, garnish with parsley and serve.
