Ingredients
3 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
2½ cups all purpose flour, plus more for dusting
1 cup water, warm
1 cup tomatoes, canned, diced or crushed
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp active dry yeast
1 tbsp granulated sugar, grated
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp Italian seasoning
Cooking spray
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and grease a pizza tray with cooking spray.
Combine water, sugar, and yeast into a bowl. Stir until yeast begins to dissolve.
Set aside the yeast mixture and let it rest for about 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, sift flour and salt into the yeast. Stir thoroughly until it all comes together into a dough.
Dust your working area with flour. Flatten out the dough and knead for roughly 10 minutes until smooth.
Add oil into a large bowl and form dough into a ball. Place into the large bowl and rub with oil.
Cover the dough with a moist towel and let it rise in a warm area for about 1½ hours.
While the dough is rising, combine crushed tomatoes, garlic, and onion powders. Stir thoroughly then set aside.
When the dough has risen, re-flatten it out. Using a rolling pin dusted with flour, roll your dough into a 12-inch circle.
Transfer your dough onto the pizza tray and dock with a fork.
Bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until the crust begins to turn brown.
Spread the sauce over the dough, sprinkle with cheese to cover, and finally sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Place in the oven for about 15 minutes or until dough is golden brown and cheese has melted.
Portion accordingly and serve immediately!
