Saute vegetables- Saute the onions, carrots, celery, and garlic until vegetables are tender.Tomatoes- Add fresh and canned tomatoes to the vegetables and cook until tomatoes are tender about 5 minutes.Blend vegetables- Blend all of the ingredients until well pureed and add back to Dutch oven.Broth and cream- Add the broth, heavy whipping cream, and fresh basil.Cook soup- Bring soup to a soft boil and cook another five minutes.
