Ingredients
15.25ozyellow cake mix,(1 package), like Betty Crocker®
1cupwater
3eggs
½cupvegetable oil
8ozcream cheese,(1 package), softened
14ozchocolate confectioners’ coating,(1 bag)
lollipop sticks
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Beat the cake mix, water, eggs, and vegetable oil together in a bowl using an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds.
Increase the speed to medium, then beat for about 2 minutes more until the batter is smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Bake in the oven for 28 to 33 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool the cake completely for at least 1 hour.
Crumble the cake into a large bowl, then mix in the cream cheese. Roll the cake mixture into about 40 to 50 quarter-size balls.
Insert a lollipop stick into each cake ball, then arrange on a baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until chilled.
Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe glass at 15-second intervals for 1 to 3 minutes, stirring after each melting.
Dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate until coated. Arrange the cake pops on a baking sheet to dry.
