Ingredients

1cupgranulated sugar

1cupbutter

2tspvanilla extract

1egg

3cupsflour

1¼tspbaking powder

¼tspsalt

Preparation

Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl. Set aside.

Combine the butter and sugar in a bowl, then mix on medium speed until creamy.

Add the eggs and vanilla, then mix until combined.

Add the flour mixture a little bit at a time, mixing with a wooden spoon until incorporated.

Cover the dough, then for chill 4 hours or overnight.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Roll the dough to ¼-inch thickness, then cut them into desired shapes.

Place the cookies 1-inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
