Ingredients

1lbground chicken

½cuppanko bread crumbs

¼cupchopped chives,divided

2clovesgarlic,minced

1egg

kosher salt,to taste

1pinchcayenne pepper

1tbspvegetable oil,for frying

½cuphot sauce,such as Frank’s

¼cupbrown sugar,lightly packed

2tbspapple cider vinegar

kosher salt,to taste

red pepper flakes,to tatse

Preparation

In a large bowl, mix together ground chicken, panko bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons of chives, garlic, and egg. Season mixture with salt and pepper, then form into small balls about the size of golf balls.

In a medium bowl, whisk together hot sauce, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Season with salt and red pepper flakes.

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat vegetable oil. Add meatballs in a single layer and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side until seared all over.

Add sauce and bring to simmer. Simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly and meatballs are cooked through.

Garnish with the remaining chives and serve warm. Enjoy!
