Ingredients

3 egg whites, at room temperature

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp cream of tartar

1 cup granulated sugar

food coloring, of your choice, few drops

1 tsp orange extract

1¼ cups desiccated coconut

all-purpose flour, for dusting

Preparation

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Grease your baking sheet with cooking spray and dust with flour.

Place the egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Beat until the whites are stiff.

Slowly add the sugar, while beating constantly.

Fold in food coloring, orange extract, and coconut until evenly incorporated.

Transfer to a tipped piping bag and pipe your mixture onto your baking sheet, at least an inch apart from each other.

Transfer to the oven and bake for about 30 minutes. Turn the oven off and let the kisses sit in the oven for at least 1½ hours to cool down. This will prevent cooked kisses from deflating.

Serve this together with your favorite morning coffee or afternoon tea.
