Ingredients
4 tbsp white sesame seeds, toasted
2 tbsp black sesame seeds, toasted
2 nori sheets
1 tsp sugar, or more
1⁄2 tsp sea salt, or more
2 tbsp bonito flakes
2 tbsp dried shrimp
3 tsp dried shiso leaves, or other similar herbs
1⁄2 tsp ichimi togarashi, also known as Japanese chili peppers, for spice
1⁄2 tsp wasabi powder, for spice
Preparation
Using kitchen shears or a knife, cut the nori sheets into small, thin pieces, or crumble them by hand.
Add the nori pieces, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, sugar, and salt to a bowl. Mix everything together.
Serve and enjoy! Sprinkle a few teaspoons of furikake on rice, ramen, udon noodles, french fries, or any protein like chicken or salmon.
