Ingredients

1lbflank steak,sliced thinly against the grain

1tbspgarlic,minced

1tbspginger,minced

2tbspsoy sauce

½tbspblack pepper,coarse ground

⅓cupShaoxing wine

2Thai bird chiles,dry, de-stemmed and crushed

1tbspcorn starch

¼cupcanola oil

sesame seeds,for garnish, optional

Preparation

In a large Ziploc bag, add the steak, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, black pepper, wine, chiles, and cornstarch.

Marinate for at least 2 hours to overnight.

Heat the wok on high, then add the canola oil.

Remove the beef from the marinade, then add to the wok. Reserve the marinade.

Cook the beef for 30 seconds on each side until caramelized.

Add in the reserved marinade, then stir to combine for 15 to 30 seconds until thickened.

Serve with steamed broccoli and rice, and enjoy!
