Ingredients

hot dogs,1 package

1cupflour

1cupcornmeal

¼tspsalt

¼cupsugar

1tbspbaking powder

1egg

1cupmilk

4cupsvegetable oil,for frying

16 wooden skewers

Preparation

Combine the cornmeal, flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.

Stir in the eggs and milk just until mixed.

Transfer the mixture to tall glass or mason jar.

Preheat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

Cut the hot dogs in half, then insert them into skewers.

Dip each hot dog in the batter until well coated; rotating to allow excess to drip off.

Fry the corn dogs one or two at a time until lightly browned. Drain on paper towels.

Serve, and enjoy!
