Ingredients

1 cup horehound leaves, fresh, or ¼ cups dried

4 cups water

2 tbsp honey

2 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp anise seeds, optional

Preparation

Boil water in a pot and add the tea leaves. Let it steep for about 10 minutes. Boil the leaves longer for a stronger tea.

Strain the tea leaves once done. Add honey and lemon juice. Add more honey as preferred.

Pour the tea into cups and garnish with anise seeds. Serve warm. Take 2 to 3 cups per day or as needed.
