Preparation

Place the water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Rinse the rice under cold water (optional).

Add a pinch of salt and rice to the boiling water. Cover and reduce the heat to low.

Cook for 18 minutes.

Remove from the heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.

Fluff with a fork and serve.
