Ingredients

1cupbasil leaves,firmly packed

1cupparsley,firmly packed, or spinach or other herbs

½cupParmesan cheese,grated, or Romano cheese

¼cuppine nuts,or walnuts or almonds

1largegarlic clove,quartered

¼tspsalt

¼cupolive oil

Preparation

Place the herbs in a food processor. Pour in 1 tablespoon of oil and blend into a paste.

Gradually add the remaining ingredients in order, scraping as needed. Blend until smooth.
