Ingredients
3½ oz dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces
2 tbsp sugar
2½ tbsp cocoa, unsweetened
1 cup milk, plus 1 tbsp (2% or whole milk/divided)
1 tsp corn starch
Preparation
In a small bowl combine ¼ cup of milk and the cornstarch until smooth. Then set it aside.
Sift the cocoa into a medium bowl then add the sugar into it and mix well. Then set it aside as well.
In a separate pot, heat up ¾ cup + 1 tablespoon of milk and bring it up to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low and start whisking. Then stir in the milk and cornstarch mixture.
Then incorporate the cocoa mixture slowly while mixing continuously until smooth. Then add the chopped chocolate and whisk for another 3 minutes.
Serve while still hot.
