Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

1½ cups white sugar

3 eggs

1⁄2 cup orange juice

orange zest, from 1 orange

6 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

2 tsp baking powder

1⁄2 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 egg, beaten

1⁄3 cup milk

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

In a medium bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda until combined.

In a large bowl, Cream together butter and sugar with a beater. Slowly add the sugar. Then add orange zest. Add eggs one at a time alternating with orange juice. Add vanilla extract.

Add the flour mixture gradually while mixing to form a soft dough. Cover and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Take dough out from the fridge and take small amounts by hand. Shape as preferred.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place shaped cookies on it, with a spacing of 2 inches apart.

In small bowl, add milk and eggs. Whisk until combined. Brush cookies with mil mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Take cookies out and let cool in the pan until room temperature. Serve.
