8slicesMorningstar Farms® Veggie Bacon Strips

8ozdried elbow macaroni

2tbspbutter,or margarine

2tbspall purpose flour

¼tsppepper

1tspdry mustard

2cupshalf and half,or milk, fat free

6ozAmerican cheese

1cupsharp cheddar cheese,shredded

2tbspfresh parsley,chopped

Preparation

Cook the Morningstar Farms® Veggie Bacon Strips according to package directions.

Set 2 slices aside. Break remaining bacon strips into bite-size pieces. Set aside.

Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain. Rinse with cold water, and drain well. Set aside.

In medium saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in flour, pepper, and mustard. Stir in the half-and-half.

Cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat.

Stir in American and Cheddar cheeses until melted. Add macaroni and bacon pieces; mix well.

Spoon into ungreased 8x8x 2-inch baking dish.

In small bowl, crumble the reserved bacon strips. Stir in parsley. Sprinkle over the macaroni mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes or until bubbling around edges.

Let stand for 10 minutes.
