Ingredients

2cupsall purpose flour

2cupswhite sugar

¾cupunsweetened cocoa powder

2tspbaking soda

1tspbaking powder

1pinchsalt

1cupmilk

½cupvegetable oil

1tspvanilla extract

1cuphot coffee,brewed

2eggs

Preparation

In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, soda, and salt.

Add the oil, milk, vanilla, coffee, and eggs; beat well. The batter will be thin. Pour into two 9-inch greased and floured round pans.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 25 minutes, or when the top springs back when done. Cool the layers on wire racks.
