Ingredients
1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon, optional
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 cup oats
11.5 oz semi-sweet chocolate chunks
1 cup pecans, or any nut of your choice, chopped
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
Combine flour, cinnamon (if using), baking powder, baking soda and salt and stir into creamed mixture.
Add oatmeal, chocolate chunks and pecans and stir until well blended. Drop by teaspoonful onto cookie sheets.
Bake for 12 minutes. Let the cookies cool on a rack for 3 minutes before serving.
