Ingredients

8ozspaghetti,(1 package) dried

½cupextra-virgin olive oil

4garlic scapes,tops trimmed, stems finely chopped

3tbspfresh parsley,chopped

salt and ground black pepper,to taste

1tbspparmesan cheese,freshly grated

Preparation

Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Stir in spaghetti and return to a boil.

Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally for 9 to 11 minutes until tender yet firm to the bite. Drain.

Heat the olive oil in a deep skillet until hot.

Remove from heat and add the garlic scapes. Let stand for 3 minutes.

Mix in the parsley. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve over drained spaghetti sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
