Ingredients

1cupshortening

1cupbrown sugar

1cupwhite sugar

1cuppineapple,crushed, drained

1tspvanilla

2eggs

½tspsalt

½tspbaking soda

4cupsall-purpose flour

2tspbaking powder

Preparation

Cream shortening and the sugars.

Add egg and pineapple.

Stir in vanilla.

Sift flour, then measure it.

To the flour, add salt, soda, and baking powder.

Add dry mixture to the wet mixture.

Drop by rounded teaspoons of the dough onto a lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees F or until done.
