Ingredients
28ozbaked beans in tomato sauce
16ozbaked beans
15ozkidney beans,or Northern beans, drained and rinsed
1lbbacon
1large white onion,diced
1green bell pepper,diced
20ozpineapple tidbits,drained
2garlic cloves,minced
½cupketchup
2tbspDijon mustard
6dasheshot sauce,Tabasco
2tbspmolasses
salt & pepper
Preparation
Chop raw bacon and fry over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Drain grease leaving about 2 tablespoons in the pan. Cook onion in bacon grease until soft.
Combine all ingredients in a 6-quart slow cooker and cook on High for 4 hours or Low for 8 hours. For thicker baked beans, leave the lid off of the slow cooker for the last 30 to 45 minutes.
