Ingredients

8ozsausage

1small onion,diced

2tbspflour

½tspcumin

12ozevaporated milk,(1 can)

12ozdiced tomatoes with chiles,(1 can)

4ozjalapeños,diced, drained

2ozcream cheese

1tsphot sauce

2cupssharp cheddar cheese,grated

pico de gallo,for garnish

tortilla chips,for serving

Preparation

Cook sausage and onions in a 10-inch skillet. Drain any fat.

Add flour and cumin and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add evaporated milk, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.

Stir in diced tomatoes, jalapenos, cream cheese, and hot sauce. Cook until melted and heated through for about 2 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until smooth.

Garnish with pico de gallo and serve with tortilla chips.
