Ingredients
2cupsdry bread cubes
1large stalk celery,minced
⅓cupdried cranberries
¼cupwalnuts,chopped
1small yellow onion,diced
¼tspgarlic,minced
½tspground sage
½tspdried marjoram
½tspsalt
¼tsppepper
1egg
¼cuphot water
2turkey legs
1½tbspbutter
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Place a large sheet of aluminum foil on a medium baking sheet.
In a medium bowl, mix the bread, celery, cranberries, walnuts, onion, and garlic. Season with sage, marjoram, salt, and pepper. Stir in the egg and enough hot water to moisten.
Arrange turkey legs on the foil sheet, and season with salt and pepper. Spoon the bread mixture around the legs, and dot with butter. Tightly seal the foil around the legs and bread mixture.
Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until the turkey leg meat has reached an internal temperature of 180 degrees F.
