Ingredients
3 tbsp garlic, minced
1 cup unsalted butter
¼ cup olive oil
½ onion, diced
3 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
¾ cup chicken broth
1 tbsp lemon pepper
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp red pepper flakes
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp brown sugar
Preparation
Heat a medium saucepan over a medium-low setting. Add ½ cup of butter and oil.
When the butter has melted, add onions and saute until soft. Add garlic and saute for 1 minute or until fragrant.
Sprinkle in Old Bay seasoning, lemon pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and brown sugar. Stir and mix together.
Turn down the heat to low and add the remaining butter. Simmer until the butter has melted while stirring constantly.
Add the chicken broth into the saucepan and cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Turn off the heat and pour over a favorite dish like grilled or fried seafood or serve as a dipping sauce on the side.
