Ingredients

1cupshortening

1cupwhite sugar

2eggs

2cupscake flour

½tspbaking powder

¾tspbaking soda

½tspsalt

½tspvanilla extract

1cupevaporated milk

1cupbananas,mashed

⅓cupwalnuts,chopped

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease one 9 or 10-inch tube pan.

Cream the shortening until light and fluffy. Add the sugar gradually. Blend in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Add the vanilla to the evaporated milk. Alternately add the flour mixture and liquid ingredients to cream mixture. Blend in mashed bananas and chopped nuts. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

Bake for 45 minutes.
