Ingredients

1lbstrawberries,fresh or frozen

½lbrhubarb,fresh or frozen, thinly sliced

1¼cupssugar,divided

1cupflour

2tspbaking powder

1tspcinnamon

½tspsalt

¾cupmilk

¼cupbutter

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Place strawberries, rhubarb, and ½ cup of sugar in a medium saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until the fruit is tender.

In a large bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in milk.

Melt butter in the microwave and spread into the bottom of a 9×11-inch glass baking dish.

Drop batter over the butter. Spoon the warm fruit over the batter, trying to keep it relatively even.

Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until cake is set.

Let the cobbler cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
