Ingredients

16ozstrawberries,rinsed and with tops cut off

1boxwhite cake mix

3eggs

¾cupoil

3ozstrawberry jello

¼cupbutter,softened

4ozcream cheese,softened

1tspvanilla

3cupspowdered sugar

¼cupstrawberry puree

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Add strawberries to a blender or food processor and blend. This should make 1 cup of pureed strawberries for the cake batter and an additional ¼ cup for the frosting.

Mix cake mix, eggs, and oil in a large bowl until well combined. Add jello and 1 cup strawberry puree. Mix well.

Pour into a greased 9×13-inch pan.

Bake for 30 minutes. Let cake cool.

Cream together the butter and cream cheese. Add vanilla, powdered sugar, and strawberry puree.

Frost cake. Serve and enjoy.
