Ingredients
1lbground beef
1cupwater
6tbsptaco seasoning,or 2 packets of taco seasoning mix
2cupscheddar cheese,shredded
1tbspvegetable oil
16ozfrozen tater tots,1 package
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes until completely browned.
Whisk the water and 3 tablespoons of taco seasoning together.
Add to the pan, stirring frequently for 3 to 4 minutes until most of the water is gone.
Put the meat mixture into the bottom of the casserole dish.
Toss the tater tots with the vegetable oil, then sprinkle the remaining taco seasoning over them evenly.
Pour the meat mixture and cheese into the baking dish, then line up the tater tots on top in rows.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the top is golden brown.
