Ingredients

1⅓lbground chuck beef85/15

4hamburger buns

4large lettuce leaves

1large tomatosliced

5ozAlexian Truffle Mousse

4slicesprovolone cheesethick

8ozcrimini mushroomssliced

2tbspunsalted butter

Kosher salt

black pepperfreshly cracked

Preparation

In a hot cast iron skillet, add the butter, salt, black pepper, and mushrooms; then sauté until browned. Set aside.

Make 8 patties with the ground chuck beef or 4 thicker patties.

Slice the Alexian Truffle Mousse into 4 even slices, then add each one to top on a provolone cheese slice.

Season patties generously with Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

In a searing hot cast iron skillet, cook the patties to just 30 seconds shy of desired doneness.

Place the cheese and Alexian Truffle Mousse on top of the patties in the pan 30 seconds before it’s finished cooking.

To the bottom bun, add the patties.

Top with mushrooms, lettuce and tomato before adding the top bun.
